Quizzing for the sake of winning is like having sex for the sake of making babies. Why care about the result when the process itself is so enjoyable?

Corollary: A poorly conducted quiz is like premature ejaculation. The fun stops all of a sudden, and you can't figure out who is more disappointed (angry?) - you or your partner.

When we are immature, we harbour so many dreams, like being Superman, saving the world, or atleast becoming an astronaut or a pilot. But as we grow up, we realise that there are more important things in life, like scoring well in exams, adding lines to our CVs, earning money (by doing our favourite job 18 hours a day), buying a 4 BHK apartment (our housemaid spends more time in it than we do - how philanthropic!!), driving a Mercedes Benz E-class (to be comfortable while being stuck in a traffic-jam caused by other like-minded people)........ and that is how we lead highly fulfilling lives.
