November 20, 2009 (Day 7904/5)

Sitting in a lecture with your eyes closed means that you cannot see the professor - it does not mean that the professor can't see you. Feline ignorance can be dangerous.

November 19, 2009 (Day 7903/4)

A lecture is the only time and place in which one is focused enough to sleep in peace.

November 18, 2009 (Day 7902/3)

A lecture is the only time and place in which one is focused enough to read the newspaper in peace.

November 17, 2009 (Day 7901/2)

In normal circumstances, 'dedication' and 'perseverance' are names given to things that people resort to, when they don't have enough self-confidence to believe that they can be successful without needing to slog their asses off.

November 14-16, 2009 (Days 7898/9 - 7900/1)

Those with limited ability and resources should refrain from imitating their superiors.

14.11.09

November 9-13, 2009 (Days 7893/4 - 7897/8)

In most anthropological cases, the future is similar to the past, only more unpredictable. Similarity with the past makes it so. Makes sense because it is contradictory.

November 5-8, 2009 (Days 7889/90 - 7892/3)

When one has everything one can possibly desire from life, arrogance could be born and burn everything to ashes. Now that is one alternative fuel that hasn't been thought of.

November 3-4, 2009 (Days 7887/8 - 7888/9)

There can't be anyone more powerful than someone who desists the end of adversity, except another one who desists the end of adversity.

4.11.09

November 1-2, 2009 (Days 7885/6 - 7886/7)

All formal organisations and systems in this world exist in order to beat, thrash, punch, whip, pummel, torture, excoriate, burn, water-board, circumcise, castrate, and brutally murder even the last iota of individualism from an individual and consign him/her to the socialistic mediocrity envisaged and championed by the impotent non-forces who have the power and the audacity to earn for their incompetence.

1.11.09

October 24-31, 2009 (Days 7877/8-7884/5)

All this time, I had been thinking that sub-sea-level expectations and selective underperformance were the keys to success. Now I see that there is no door and hence no lock and everyone's gone through the doorway while I had been searching for the keys. I breathe a sigh of relief, have a beer, turn back and keep the keys in my wallet for the rest of my life.

October 23-25, 2009 (Days 7876/7 - 7878/9)

Recorded human behaviour suggests that the quantums of partying and festivities are inversely proportional to sadness, depression, frustration, misfortune, dread, despair and many more such figments of man's (and more so woman's) imagination. The tendency to wholeheartedly desert common sense and sound logic, by the human race (with exceptions, thankfully) is indeed the greatest mystery of our times.

October 16-22, 2009 (Days 7869/70 - 7875/6)

Overt, ostentatious display of relieving of one's frustration can be quite pleasant (and even sanctimonious) to look at, but comes with the potentially spinal-cord-haemorrhaging combo-baggage of slatternly choked-up alleyways, left-lung cancer and twice-decimated sperm-count.
